* Experience: 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development. Proven experience designing and building large-scale, production-grade systems.

 * Technical Skills: Proficiency in Go or demonstrated ability to learn new quickly. Practical and/or conceptual understanding of Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform.

 * Architecture & Design: Strong knowledge of system architecture and design patterns, including microservices and distributed systems deployed in cloud environments, with an understanding of how networking, scalability, and reliability influence system design.

 * Cloud & Networking Fundamentals: Familiarity with cloud networking concepts such as VPCs, service connectivity, access control, and secure communication between services.

 * Performance & Reliability: Demonstrated ability to optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.

 * Team Player: Strong collaboration skills with experience working in distributed, cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm for mentoring and coaching engineers, along with a clear desire to move into a formal engineering role. Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.

## Description

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Backend Software Engineer eager to grow into a technical leadership role. This role is primarily an Individual Contributor (IC) position, with an expected split of 80% hands-on coding and technical design and 20% mentorship, process improvement, and strategic planning. You'll play a key part in designing, building, and optimizing Effodio's application analytics platform using Go, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies. You'll collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering partners to deliver scalable, high-performance backend systems that operate reliably in modern cloud environments.
