## About the Role

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in enterprise-grade Back End development using modern Java, Spring Boot, and event-driven architectures and a proven ability to design, build, and optimize resilient, secure, and scalable services., * 10+ years of experience building enterprise Java systems.

 * Hands-on Java 17/21/25 LTS, Core Java, Jakarta EE, Spring Framework 7, Spring Boot 4.x, RESTful services.
 * Proficiency with modern Java features, JVM internals, GC tuning, and performance profiling.
 * Strong SQL and PL/SQL with Oracle or equivalent RDBMS; schema versioning with Flyway or Liquibase.
 * Event-driven architecture with Kafka and IBM MQ, including partitioning, consumer groups, idempotency, and transactional outbox.
 * JPA 2/3, Hibernate 6, HikariCP, and strong relational modeling.
 * Spring Security 6+, OAuth2.0/OIDC, JWT-based stateless auth, RBAC/ABAC.
 * Resilience4j patterns for circuit breaking, retries, and rate limiting.
 * Caching and NoSQL exposure with Redis, MongoDB, Elasticsearch; familiarity with vector databases such as Pgvector is a plus.
 * TDD and automated testing: JUnit 5, Mockito, AssertJ, Cucumber/Gherkin, Testcontainers, WireMock or Spring Cloud Contract.
 * Version control with Git and platforms such as Bitbucket or GitHub, including PR and branching workflows.
 * Containerization and deployment with Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes, including ConfigMaps, Secrets, Ingress, autoscaling with HPA/KEDA.
 * CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD.
 * Observability with Micrometer, Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing via OpenTelemetry/Zipkin/Jaeger.
 * Strong understanding of the full SDLC and Agile practices including Scrum and sprint planning.

Preferred Skills:

 * Experience integrating Spring AI and LLM patterns such as RAG workflows.
 * Familiarity with API performance tuning and high-throughput service design.
 * Proficiency with IntelliJ IDEA or Eclipse and code quality tools such as SonarQube.
 * Use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Devin, or Cursor for code generation and reviews.

## Description

* Design, develop, and maintain Back End services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
 * Implement RESTful APIs with OpenAPI documentation and enforce secure authentication and authorization.
 * Engineer event-driven integrations with Apache Kafka and IBM MQ using robust consumer and idempotency patterns.
 * Optimize performance through JVM tuning, profiling, and resilient design patterns.
 * Develop reliable database schemas and data access layers using Oracle or PostgreSQL/MySQL with Flyway or Liquibase.
 * Drive test automation across unit, integration, and contract layers with TDD practices.
 * Containerize and deploy services to OpenShift or Kubernetes with CI/CD pipelines.
 * Instrument services for observability with metrics, logs, and traces.
 * Collaborate in Agile teams across time zones and contribute to design reviews and code quality.
