Five (5) years of experience must include: Java, J2EE, Java Messaging Service (JMS), and Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB); Advanced SQL and PL/SQL programming; Big Data / Microservices; Spark using Java and Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS); Advanced Python; Infrastructure / CI/CD / DevOps / Ansible / Fortify / Jenkins; AWS Cloud Services EC2, EMR, Lambda, S3, and Glue; QA Automation (Cucumber, Selenium, and Karate); Oracle Database; Networking knowledge and Unix scripting.

## Description

Job Duties: S&P OpCo, LLC seeks a Lead, Software Development/Engineering who will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Design, develop, and enhance end-of-day index calculation platforms for S&P Dow Jones Indices (SPDJI). Review application code to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintainability requirements. Contribute to new platform initiatives while providing ongoing support for existing index calculation applications. Perform application and system performance tuning and troubleshoot performance or scalability issues. Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to triage and resolve issues related to index calculation platforms. Apply object-oriented programming principles and design patterns in application development. Integrate internal applications with third-party and vendor software platforms as required. Set up and maintain development environments and
sandboxes for application development and testing. Check in code changes to version control repositories and maintain proper configuration management practices. Perform unit testing, identify defects, and implement solutions for code quality and stability. Interface with relational databases to extract data, generate outputs, and build reports.
