## About the Role

The Cloud and WebApp Engineer will have a primary focus on Linux endpoint management. The role requires a strong knowledge of Linux administration, patch management, virtualized environments, and the ability to collaborate across IT, operations, and executive leadership.

Clearance & Location Requirements:

 * All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
 * This is an on-site position requiring at least 1 day in office, based out of our Arlington, VA location., * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 * Ability to work independently and collaboratively
 * Initiative, reliability, teamwork and customer service orientation
 * Strong organization and planning skills, * Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent full-time professional experience
 * 3 years of full-time professional experience
 * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed

## Description

What You Will Do:

 * Assist in management of virtual desktop infrastructure for Linux
 * Implement compliance checks for VDI patch management
 * Deploy and manage Linux virtual machines in VMWare vCenter and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)
 * Assist in management of Red Hat Satellite infrastructure
 * Install, upgrade, and manage Linux based applications (e.g. - Jira, Confluence, Crowd, FlexNet, Teamwork Cloud, Nagios)
 * Install, upgrade, and manage database infrastructure for applications (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
 * Manage and maintain application security components (SSL certificates, password management for Linux resources)
 * Create and update Linux systems documentation
