## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree
 * Demonstrated hands-on experience with all of the following: SQL, SQL Server, SQL Clustering, SQL Scripting, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN and Microsoft Access
 * Experience with HA/DR, backup and recovery, patching and incident triage
 * Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical teams and management
 * Must reside in and work from the United States
 * Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a federal background check
 * Available 8 hours per day within 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time

Preferred qualifications

 * Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle certifications
 * Experience with ServiceNow, Idera and SolarWinds
 * Federal government or federal contracting experience
 * U.S. citizenship, or a current or prior federal background investigation or Public Trust

## Description

* Troubleshoot daily issues, triage errors and configure SQL Server and SQL Cluster environments
 * Create and manage standalone SQL Server and Oracle databases
 * Perform server maintenance, software installations, upgrades and patching
 * Maintain High Availability (HA) systems and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures
 * Monitor system health and capacity using Idera and SolarWinds
 * Manage tickets and change requests in ServiceNow
 * Assist users with building, configuring and troubleshooting databases, including application integrations
 * Provide weekly status reports
 * Support occasional scheduled after-hours patching and maintenance

Senior level also: sets standards for configuration, backup and patching, leads DR planning and incident response, and guides the team on complex issues.
