You should bring strong experience in enterprise application architecture and distributed systems, along with hands-on depth in Java/J2EE technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, JMS, Servlets, SOA, and web services. Experience working in a multi-technology environment that includes .NET is important. You should also have strong knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, authentication and authorization, API security, SSL, messaging, caching, integration frameworks, relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle, and application servers such as JBoss or Tomcat. Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, along with modern DevOps and CI/CD practices, is expected. We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked on mature enterprise SaaS platforms and understand the challenges of modernization, scalability, reliability, and long-term product evolution. Experience with financial, accounting, reconciliation, compliance, or other complex enterprise workflow platforms is a strong plus. Familiarity with AI-assisted software engineering and responsible adoption of LLM-based development tools is also highly valued. ## Description We're looking for a senior Software Architect who can help shape the technical direction of mission-critical enterprise SaaS products. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for someone who enjoys solving complex architecture problems, influencing engineering teams, modernizing mature platforms, and taking ideas from design through production. You'll work closely with engineering, product, security, DevOps, QA, and architecture teams across a multi-technology environment that includes Java/J2EE, .NET, APIs, modern web frameworks, relational databases, microservices, and cloud platforms. You will also help drive the adoption of AI-native engineering practices, using tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, and other LLM-based development tools responsibly to improve engineering productivity and quality. What You'll Do * Define and evolve architecture for large-scale enterprise SaaS applications across cloud and hybrid environments. * Design scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions across Java/J2EE, .NET, REST/SOAP APIs, Angular/React, microservices, databases, messaging, caching, and cloud technologies. * Guide engineering teams through complex design decisions, performance challenges, integrations, reliability issues, and production-critical problems. * Review solution designs and critical implementations to ensure they align with architecture, security, scalability, and maintainability standards. * Stay hands-on through prototypes, proof of concepts, architecture reviews, critical code reviews, and technical documentation. * Lead modernization initiatives across legacy applications, frameworks, databases, deployment models, and platform architecture. * Drive engineering best practices around API design, secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, performance, and production readiness. * Promote responsible use of AI-assisted development tools for architecture research, coding support, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and modernization. * Influence technical direction across teams without relying on direct reporting authority. * Mentor senior engineers and technical leads and help strengthen architecture practices across the organization.
