## About the Role

* Proven experience in system administration across diverse environments such as Windows Server (including Windows), Linux/Unix systems, and virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.
 * Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components including network design (TCP/IP protocols), DNS/DHCP management, load balancing techniques, and firewall configurations.
 * Hands-on experience with solution architecture design involving microservices architectures using RESTful APIs and containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes is highly desirable.
 * Familiarity with database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or NoSQL options like MongoDB or Cassandra.
 * Demonstrated ability in scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell or Shell Scripting for automation purposes.
 * Experience working within Agile development environments utilizing SDLC principles with tools like Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines.
 * Knowledge of Active Directory management along with experience supporting enterprise-level IT infrastructure projects involving system design and configuration management.
 * Strong understanding of information security principles including VPNs, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and security best practices for protecting organizational data assets.

## Description

* Manage and support enterprise-wide systems including Windows Server, Linux, VMware virtualization, and cloud platforms such as Azure.
 * Oversee system architecture design, configuration management, and system tuning to optimize performance and reliability.
 * Implement and maintain server backup and recovery solutions to safeguard critical data.
 * Administer Active Directory management, DNS, DHCP, and network configurations including VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and computer networking.
 * Develop automation scripts using Bash, Shell Scripting, PowerShell, or other scripting languages to streamline routine tasks.
 * Support software implementation, administration, troubleshooting, and upgrades for enterprise applications such as Pegasystems or other solutions within service-oriented architecture frameworks.
 * Conduct system troubleshooting support for hardware (RAID controllers), storage management (system administration storage), and software issues across various operating systems.
 * Collaborate on solution architecture projects involving microservices, RESTful APIs, NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB, SQL databases including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
 * Utilize tools like Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery processes.
 * Ensure information security best practices are followed by managing firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols to protect organizational data assets.
 * Support systems & applications support activities including performance tuning and system troubleshooting to ensure high availability.
