## About the Role

* 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience.
 * Active DoD security clearance.
 * Systems Engineering professional certification.
 * Experience administering Windows Server and Linux/Unix systems.
 * Hands-on experience with virtualization, cloud infrastructure, enterprise storage, and backup/recovery.
 * Scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
 * Understanding of networking and security fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and access controls.
 * Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
 * Ability to work onsite at Fort Meade, MD.

Additional Technical Experience

Experience with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, microservices, REST APIs, or service-oriented architecture will support success in this role.

What You'll Do

 * Design and maintain scalable infrastructure across Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and AWS/Azure environments.

 * Manage SAN/NAS storage, RAID configurations, backups, and disaster recovery.
 * Automate administration and deployment tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
 * Troubleshoot system, storage, and network issues; optimize performance and capacity.
 * Support application and database integrations, CI/CD workflows, and configuration management.
 * Develop technical documentation, provide team guidance, and help meet customer requirements and project milestones.
