## About the Role

* Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
 * Bachelor degree, with additional years of experience able to count in lieu of a degree
 * 8+ years of experience, with additional education, training, and certifications about to count towards total years of experience
 * Experience supporting multiple stages of the program lifecycle, including design, integration, test, operations, and maintenance.
 * Significant hands-on experience in at least one of the following technical domains: Software, Cloud, Networking, Cybersecurity
 * Experience working on multidisciplinary design and development teams.
 * Experience identifying and managing technical risks.
 * Ability to communicate technical information effectively through oral presentations and written documentation.
 * Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
 * Ability to deliver high-level technical messaging to a variety of audiences, including senior leaders.

Parsons is looking for a talented Senior Systems Engineer to join our growing team!

If you are a technically accomplished systems engineering professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, mission-focused environment, we have an exciting opportunity for you in Boulder, Colorado. This position supports a customer's critical defense systems and requires full-time, on-site work in an open-office environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

 * Contribute to all phases of the system lifecycle, including CONOPS, requirements, architecture, design, development, integration, test, operations, and maintenance.
 * Support mission design activities, interface definition, and baseline management.
 * Develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts, including: Requirements, Architecture designs, Interface Control Documents, Use cases, System flow diagrams, Test plans
 * Conduct and support Technical Interchange Meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
 * Collaborate with multidisciplinary development teams, government organizations, and vendors to drive problem resolution and improve collaboration.
 * Support technical risk identification, analysis, and management activities.
 * Assist with special studies and other systems engineering activities as required.
 * Interface directly with the customer while maintaining strong attention to detail and professional communication.
 * Apply both classic and modern systems engineering techniques to support mission and program objectives.
 * Support improvements to project management discipline through increased collaboration, innovation, adaptability, and flexibility.
 * Help optimize return on investment through effective systems engineering and project management practices.
 * Mentor junior and mid-level engineers when appropriate.
 * Assume a technical leadership role within the team when required.
