## About the Role

* Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience.
 * Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related software languages.
 * Experience with computer scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
 * Minimum of 2 years of prior Special Access Program (SAP) experience or similar classified program experience
 * Active and transferable Top Secret with SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Special Program Access after start .

Qualifications We Prefer

 * Development experience on Linux, VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems.
 * Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware, such as test benches or simulators.
 * Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
 * Experience with product development using Scrum techniques within the Agile software development process.
 * Experience with DevSecOps pipeline implementation and use, including static code analysis, automated build, and automated test techniques using continuous integration/continuous delivery with a test-driven development approach.
 * Hands-on experience with Git for version control and GitLab for repository management.

## Description

* Assisting in the requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software and tools.
 * Developing new software products or enhancing existing applications and systems.
 * Designing, coding, testing, integrating, and documenting software solutions.
 * Participating in internal reviews of software components and systems.
 * Collaborating with project managers and engineering teams to meet project goals and deliverables.
 * Working on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
 * Following established development practices and processes, including configuration management of software products.
 * Supporting occasional business-related travel as required, up to 10%.
 * This job is onsite in Plano, TX; local residency or relocation required., * Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
