 * Knowledge of test instrumentation/transducers (pressure, force, acceleration, position, temperature, strain etc)
 * Basic understanding of a PID control system
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (WORD, ACCESS and EXCEL)
 * Demonstrated organizational skills and project work
 * Ability to collaborate with others in a team to accomplish a common goal
 * Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Double Major in Engineering/CS with 0-1 years of relevant experience
 * Gage operation/knowledge/experience to include theory and selection
 * Instrumentation calibration knowledge (demonstrate Wheatstone Bridge theory/knowledge)
 * Demonstrate ability to complete projects on time with minimal oversight
 * Data Acquisition System operation experience
 * General programming experience/skills
 * EXCEL macro, ACCESS MatLab/LabView Database and VBA programming experience/programming skills
 * Demonstrate a broad approach to problem solving (multidisciplinary)

## Description

Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Test Engineer Level 1/2 with background in Computer Science/Electrical to support our growing business in our Rocket Center, West Virginia location., In the Test Engineer role, the winning candidate will ultimately review and verify static rocket motor test designs/methodologies, understand and maintain current deployed equipment as well as evaluate hardware health and obsolescence. You will monitor the area equipment for potential failure trends, investigating new and developing technologies while collaborating with management on its potential implementation.
