## Description

American United is hiring Senior Engineers to design, build, and deploy cloud-based data and application solutions. You'll work primarily in Python on Azure, with Databricks and modern DevOps practices, and you'll use AI-assisted developer tools to deliver high-quality software faster. Some positions also involve Java and Spring Boot or machine learning workloads.
Key Responsibilities

 * Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications and data pipelines
 * Build and manage data solutions using Databricks and Delta Lake
 * Deploy and operate workloads on Azure (Azure ML, Azure Container Apps) or IBM Cloud / IKS, depending on the team
 * Write and optimize SQL queries and shell scripts to support data processing and automation
 * Develop and maintain Java / Spring Boot services (select positions)
 * Build and train machine learning models with TensorFlow (select positions)
 * Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions
 * Use AI-assisted developer tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery speed
 * Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile team ceremonies
 * Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and document solutions and best practices
