## Description

As an Inventory Transfer Technician, the primary function of this position is to deliver freight between distribution centers in a safe, professional, and efficient manner. The Inventory Transfer Technician Associate is also responsible for evaluating trailer loads, and ensuring all loads are secured properly to ensure safe transports. Your contributions will ensure the success of the Operations Department at CITY HOME., As an Inventory Transfer Technician, your primary responsibilities will be to:

 * Drive company vehicle in a safe manner in order to transfer inventory between Distribution Centers. Ensure proper hours of operation are maintained. Use hand device to keep a daily DOT (Department of Transportation) E-log and understand and follow DOT Regulations
 * Conduct pre and post trip audits to ensure vehicle is safe to operate. Communicates mechanical problems to Mechanic
 * Contacts internal customers to communicate any delivery delays
 * Examine and evaluate trailer loads, and ensure all loads are secured properly for safe transport
 * Move containers around the Distribution Center yard as directed
 * Support the Distribution Center when Driver responsibilities are not needed and performs duties as assigned
