## About the Role

Hims & Hers is seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and results-driven Staff Engineer to build, test, deploy and support our self-service platform used for pharmacy operations and customer order fulfillment., * 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a track record of setting front end technical direction across multiple teams

 * Proven experience in building scalable web applications and services, preferably in a cloud environment
 * Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (React, React Native, NextJs, TypeScript) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Redis)
 * Experience with monitoring and CI/CD technologies (Datadog, Github actions, Circle CI, etc…)
 * Hands-on experience using AI tools in real engineering workflows, with good judgment about where they help and where they don't
 * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically
 * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
 * Capable of prioritizing multiple projects in order to meet goals without management oversight

## Description

* Lead the architecture of scalable, maintainable, and performant front end solutions aligned with product requirements
 * Work with other technical leaders to identify and drive adoption of common frameworks, patterns, and practices
 * Establish and foster consistent best practices, design patterns, and coding standards across the Front End team
 * Shape responsible adoption of AI across our software development process, raising team output while holding the bar for patient safety, quality, and maintainability
 * Guide the technical growth of Front End engineers through pair programming, mentorship opportunities, maintaining thorough technical documentation, and other avenues
 * Initiate efforts to reduce technical debt and enhance workflow efficiency
 * Implement tools and processes for monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization
 * Define a multi-quarter front end architecture roadmap for Pharmacy & Fulfillment and break it into work other engineers can pick up
 * Collaborate with designers for intuitive and engaging user experiences
 * Conduct design & code reviews and facilitate knowledge-sharing initiatives
 * Stay informed of industry trends and standards to propose innovative enhancements
