Coursework, personal projects, and professional experience all count. * Cloud-Native Mindset: Curiosity about consumption-based cloud platforms and how serverless applications are designed, built, and paid for. Exposure to any commercial platform (Salesforce or comparable) is helpful but not required; we would rather teach a platform than unteach config-only habits. * AI Fluency: Comfort using AI coding assistants in a real development workflow: prompting effectively, reviewing generated code critically, and iterating rather than accepting output blindly. * Finisher's Instinct: Energy for the unglamorous last mile: testing, deployment, documentation, and follow-through until users are actually using the thing. * Strong Communication: Ability to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and build trust across the business. * Range: A refusal to be boxed into one discipline; you are curious about how the whole system fits together, not just your corner of it. ## Description * AWS Applications: Build, test, and deploy custom applications on our AWS serverless stack (Lambda, S3 and CloudFront, DynamoDB, API Gateway) as the core of the ELEVATE suite. * Commercial Platforms: Contribute to the systems the business runs on today where code is needed, including Lightning Web Components in Salesforce, without making any single vendor's platform your identity. * AI-Accelerated Workflow: Use AI assistants to prototype quickly, generate and critically review code, write test suites, and document components as you go. * Bug Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in existing components and applications, learning the codebase by fixing it. Phase 2: Delivery Ownership (Ramping around Month 6+) * Path to Production: Own the road from working code to production: Git-based version control, code review, deployment pipelines, and closing out the last 10% that gets nearly finished work over the finish line. * Requirements Translation: Partner with stakeholders to translate operational pain points into structured user stories, technical requirements, and working solutions. * Release Discipline: Help formalize and enforce our review-and-deploy process as more people across the company gain build access. * Reusable Foundations: Contribute to a growing library of reusable components and patterns across the ELEVATE suite, so the next build is faster than the last. Phase 3: Expanding the Stack (Growing into the Platform) * Data Engineering: Go deeper on ATLAS: pipelines, warehousing, and the analytics layer that runs the business. * Platform Engineering: Take on infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, and the deployment machinery itself. * Agentic Development: Push past code assistance into agents, automation, and AI-native ways of working, and bring what you learn back to the team. Where This Role Grows We build our own applications, and we view early-career development as the launching pad for long-term technical and professional growth. As you advance past your first year, your trajectory can evolve into: * End-to-End Product Ownership: Owning an application from roadmap through stakeholders, build, deployment, and user adoption, not just tickets. * Delivery Leadership: Becoming the team's authority on how software ships: pipelines, environments, and release standards for everything we build. * Specialized Career Tracks: Deep-diving further into serverless application architecture, data platform engineering on ATLAS, or front-end craft and user experience across the ELEVATE suite.
