## About the Role

* 5+ years of experience in software development and application support.

Strong experience with SCALA, Java and REST API development. * Experience with JavaScript and modern web application development practices.
Experience developing and consuming RESTful services using SCALA is mandatory. * Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and secure coding practices.

 * Experience with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex applications.
 * Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
 * Experience working in AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
 * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
 * Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
 * Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

 * Experience supporting CMS, Federal Government, or healthcare systems.
 * Experience working with NoSQL databases.
 * Experience working within Agile development teams., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

## Description

* Design, develop, test, and maintain software components throughout the software development lifecycle.

Develop and enhance Scala based REST APIs based on technical designs and business requirements. * Collaborate with Business Analysts and technical teams to identify design gaps and implement functionality improvements.

 * Build, configure, and support scalable software solutions using modern development frameworks and tools.
 * Create and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and application reliability.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments.
 * Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
 * Support application deployments, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
