## About the Role

* BA/BS in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
 * 8+ years of systems or cloud engineering experience
 * Hands-on AWS administration covering systems operations, site reliability, and cost management
 * Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration
 * Current Security+ CE certification (DoD 8140, IAT Level II)

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Experience with Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) and knowledge of classified security enclaves
 * GovCloud experience
 * Experience with SecDevOps and CI/CD pipelines
 * Knowledge of web services, including API and REST
 * Understanding and knowledge of USAF Human Resource processes
 * Prior IT support of military personnel applications, or experience supporting a DoD customer
 * AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Developer, Advanced Networking, or Security.

Security Clearance Requirements:

 * Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance

Physical Requirements:

 * Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
 * Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and government stakeholders, which may involve delivering technical presentations.
 * Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

## Description

* Operate and maintain the Cloud One Zone C AWS GovCloud environment in support of program's legacy Air Force HR systems and nine developer teams
 * Perform daily cloud operations, including networking, backups, monitoring, patching, and cost management
 * Administer the Cloud One Zone C Windows domain and server infrastructure, including Active Directory and Windows servers
 * Operate and maintain the RHEL and Oracle infrastructure that hosts program applications, including operating system upgrades and migrations
 * Support CI/CD and DevOps tooling for the developer applications, and build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform
 * Manage AWS accounts, user access, and resource governance, and provision environments for the developer teams
 * Triage and resolve developer environment issues, work Jira tickets, and handle escalations
 * Support scheduled patching and mission critical tasks beyond normal duty hours
