## Description

* Monitor and analyze network traffic using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities.
 * Develop, implement, and maintain security policies in accordance with NIST standards, ISO frameworks, and regulatory requirements such as FIPS and PCI.
 * Conduct vulnerability research and assessments across various platforms including Windows, Linux, macOS, and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
 * Manage identity & access management (IAM) systems utilizing LDAP, Active Directory, RBAC, and multifactor authentication methods to ensure secure user access.
 * Respond promptly to security incidents through incident response procedures; coordinate incident recovery efforts including disaster recovery planning.
 * Configure and maintain security appliances such as firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, load balancers, and SAN storage solutions.
 * Perform system security audits on operating systems, databases like Oracle, and applications such as Java-based platforms; recommend improvements based on findings.
 * Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into SDLC processes including CI/CD pipelines; utilize scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python for automation.
 * Conduct risk assessments related to cloud architecture and IoT devices; ensure compliance with FISMA, DIACAP, COBIT frameworks.
 * Maintain documentation of security protocols; participate in IT governance initiatives aligned with ITIL standards.
