## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

 * 5-10 years of experience in CI/CD, automation, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering, including a key role in establishing and maintaining infrastructure for software products.

 * Strong hands-on experience building reliable, scalable CI/CD pipelines and software distributions using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and JFrog Artifactory.

 * Strong programming and scripting skills in Shell, Python, and Groovy.

 * Demonstrated experience with source-code management practices and branching strategies for complex development and release workflows.

 * Experience creating, deploying, and managing applications and build environments in containers, such as Podman.

 * Experience with observability and monitoring tools, such as Grafana.

 * Experience with Linux compute clusters or grid schedulers, such as SGE/UGE, SLURM, or LSF.

 * Experience supporting both Linux and Windows software development environments.

 * Fluency in English, written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

 * Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

 * Experience integrating CI/CD systems with emulation, simulation, embedded hardware, or hardware-in-the-loop validation environments.

 * Familiarity with at least one machine learning framework or model format, such as ONNX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.

## Description

GlobalFoundries is seeking a highly experienced Senior/Principal Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Engineer to lead the strategy, design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-scale software delivery infrastructure for complex artificial intelligence, machine learning, and hardware-software co-development environments.

Essential Responsibilities

 * Own the end-to-end CI/CD strategy and automation execution for globally distributed software development teams.

 * Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated build, test, release, and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and JFrog Artifactory.

 * Configure CI/CD workflows that interface directly with emulation, simulation, embedded hardware, and hardware-software validation platforms.

 * Define, implement, enforce, and maintain source-code branching and release strategies for complex product release cycles.

 * Develop and maintain containerized, reproducible build environments and test-runner workloads using technologies such as Podman.

 * Partner with IT to configure, secure, monitor, and maintain Linux and Windows compute servers, compute grids, and shared storage environments, including NFS and CIFS.

 * Build dashboards, metrics, and alerts in Grafana to monitor pipeline health, runner performance, infrastructure utilization, and service reliability.

 * Collaborate with software, hardware, verification, validation, and infrastructure teams across North America, Europe, and Asia to modernize build and delivery capabilities.
