## About the Role

* 5+ years as a full-stack or backend developer, including experience building and largely independently operating a live system.
 * In-depth PostgreSQL knowledge, including database functions, transactions, row-level security, and indexing.
 * Supabase experience with login, security rules, real-time updates, server functions, backups, and recovery.
 * Experience with real-time and concurrent systems where many people act at once, such as auctions, bookings, or trading.
 * Stripe experience with card charges, full and partial refunds, webhooks, chargebacks, and failed refunds.
 * Security and audit experience, including append-only logs, role-based access, and two-administrator approvals for sensitive actions.
 * TypeScript and React skills.
 * Strongly preferred: ability to review and fix AI-generated code.
 * Strongly preferred: knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection.
 * Strongly preferred: experience building to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
 * Strongly preferred: experience with email, push notifications, and system monitoring.
 * Strongly preferred: experience running load tests on a live system.
