Abilities * Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively. * Ability to learn and adapt to new research methods and tools. * Ability to support a project from inception through the design, implementation, and extraction/collection of data to the creation of the final report and presentation. * Ability to be professional, competent, and cordial. * Ability to collaborate within the department and with data stewards and clients outside the department. * Ability to document research findings clearly and concisely. * Ability to facilitate focus groups, collect and present both qualitative and quantitative data. * Ability to facilitate the client's vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products. ## Description * Lead and conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, focus groups, and usability tests, documenting and organizing insights to guide design decisions. You'll employ advanced UX research techniques, including A/B testing, card sorting, and feature enhancement assessments, using industry-standard tools to gather and analyze data. The position involves translating research findings into actionable recommendations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and effectively communicating insights to stakeholders to drive user-centered product improvements. * Participate in the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs, pain points, and behavior patterns. In collaboration with DEAT staff, collaborates with decision makers to identify questions, conduct analysis, and interpret findings. Works in collaboration with DEAT staff to facilitate the utilization of these data through both written and verbal communication; this includes presentations, executive summaries/briefs, data visualizations, reports, etc. * Maintain lab environment.
