## About the Role

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Systems Engineering or a related field
 * Proven experience as a Software Architect or in a similar software development role, preferably in Agile or systems engineering environments
 * Strong background in designing and implementing complex software systems, including microservices, cloud-based, or enterprise applications
 * Knowledge of Agile methodologies; Scrum and SAFe experience is beneficial
 * Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
 * Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated work ethic
 * Ability to motivate and inspire team members
 * Flexibility and adaptability to changing project demands
 * Strong communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement
 * Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
 * Familiarity with defense industry standards and practices

## Description

* Create scalable and secure software architecture across front-end, back-end, and database layers
 * Build user interfaces and develop server-side logic, APIs, and databases, using AI-enabled SDLC tools
 * Lead development teams, establish coding standards, and review code for quality and performance
 * Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Owners, and requirements engineers to gather and analyze software requirements, and document them in Confluence
 * Model software requirements using Cameo Modeling or a similar tool
 * Design high-level software architectures, defining components, modules, and interfaces
 * Select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and design patterns, such as microservices and REST APIs
 * Communicate architectural decisions to stakeholders, developers, and testers to ensure alignment with project goals
 * Identify technical risks in software design or implementation and log them in Jira for tracking and resolution
 * Collaborate with Verification, Validation, and Test teams to ensure the architecture supports testable requirements
