## About the Role

This role requires strong technical expertise in Db2 for z/OS, along with the ability to independently manage systems programming responsibilities, coordinate with DBAs and managed-service teams, and provide advanced production support., * 8+ years of hands-on experience in Db2 for z/OS systems programming.

 * Strong experience with Db2 installation, SMP/E maintenance, upgrades, and version migrations.
 * Proven ability to configure, tune, troubleshoot, and recover Db2 subsystems.
 * Experience working directly with IBM Support to resolve complex technical issues.
 * Strong working knowledge of IBM z/OS, JCL, REXX, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF/IOF.
 * Working knowledge of RACF security for Db2/IMS environments.
 * Experience with Db2 connectivity and disaster recovery procedures.
 * Experience coordinating and providing technical guidance to DBAs and managed-service resources.
 * Ability to independently own Db2 systems programming responsibilities.
 * Flexibility to support occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday maintenance activities.

Important Candidate Screening Criteria
Hands-on Db2 Systems Programming experience is mandatory.
Candidates must have personally owned and performed Db2 systems programming activities, including installation, maintenance, subsystem configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
