 * Experience supporting software development in mission-critical or production environments.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

## Description

Markon is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and sustainment of mission-critical software systems for the Fort Meade Customer. The Software Engineer will design, develop, integrate, and maintain high-performance applications using C++ and Python, working closely with systems engineers and operations teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++ and Python.

 * Support integration of software components within larger system architectures.
 * Participate in requirements analysis, design reviews, and technical evaluations.
 * Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
 * Contribute to software documentation, including design artifacts and technical reports.
 * Collaborate with systems engineering, operations, and mission stakeholders.
 * Support software configuration management and version control processes.
 * Apply secure coding practices and support compliance with security standards.
