## About the Role

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience.

 * Experience developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related software languages.
 * Experience with computer scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
 * Minimum of 2 years of prior Special Access Program (SAP) experience or similar classified program experience
 * Active and transferable Top Secret with SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Special Program Access after start.

Qualifications We Prefer

 * Development experience on Linux, VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems.
 * Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware, such as test benches or simulators.
 * Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
 * Experience with product development using Scrum techniques within the Agile software development process.
 * Experience with DevSecOps pipeline implementation and use, including static code analysis, automated build, and automated test techniques using continuous integration/continuous delivery with a test-driven development approach.
 * Hands-on experience with Git for version control and GitLab for repository management.

## Description

* Assisting in the requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software and tools.
 * Developing new software products or enhancing existing applications and systems.
 * Designing, coding, testing, integrating, and documenting software solutions.
 * Participating in internal reviews of software components and systems.
 * Collaborating with project managers and engineering teams to meet project goals and deliverables.
 * Working on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
 * Following established development practices and processes, including configuration management of software products.
 * Supporting occasional business-related travel as required, up to 10%.
 * This job is onsite in Plano, TX; local residency or relocation required., + Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
