## Description

The South Carolina State Treasurer's Office is seeking an experienced Programmer - Advanced (Mainframe Developer) to develop and enhance its existing z/OS core accounting system by implementing a new Composite Reservoir Account (CRA) structure. Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with Enterprise COBOL, NaturalOne, JCL, Adabas, VSAM, and financial accounting systems. This is a 100% remote, 6-month contract paying $80/hr on W2 (No Benefits). Candidates must reside within the continental US (lower 48 states) and work EST hours., * Analyze and enhance existing COBOL programs and account management systems.

 * Develop Composite Reservoir Account structures, including posting, settlement, accruals, and reconciliation.
 * Modify batch COBOL programs, JCL, and nightly/month-end processing.
 * Implement audit trails, exception reporting, and financial controls.
 * Develop unit, regression, and parallel-run testing.
 * Support production implementation, account conversion, and initial production cycles.
 * Prepare technical documentation, data flows, and operational runbooks.
