## About the Role

* Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
 * Experience in developing, testing, and integrating real-time software applications written in C++ or closely related software languages.
 * Experience in computer scripting languages such as Shell/Perl/Python.
 * U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, which this job will require., * Development experience on Linux, VxWorks, or other Real Time Operating Systems is highly preferred.
 * Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware (e.g., test benches, simulators).
 * Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.
 * Experience with product development utilizing the Scrum techniques of the Agile software development process.
 * Experience with DevSecOps pipeline implementation and utilization, including Static Code Analysis, Automated Build, and Automated Test techniques using continuous integration/continuous delivery with Test-Driven Development approach.
 * Hands-on experience with Git for version control and GitLab for repository management.
 * Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance preferred.
 * Experience with EO/IR (Electro-Optical/Infrared) systems.

## Description

* This position is for a Software Engineer who has professional experience in the development and implementation of software for real-time applications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 * Support all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of a multi-disciplined team.
 * This would include supporting new and legacy military and commercial programs from concept and requirements, to design, development, integration, test, and potentially subsequent maintenance tasking.
 * Use and provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
 * Work closely with Systems Engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind.
 * This position may require occasional business-related travel.
