## About the Role

* 3+ years of software development experience within industrial automation, machine controls, embedded systems, or a related environment
 * Proficiency in C, C#, Python, and JavaScript, with experience in software design, debugging, testing, and maintaining production systems
 * Hands-on PLC programming experience
 * Experience developing HMI applications and machine control software for industrial equipment
 * Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and modern source control practices, including branching, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines
 * Experience working within Agile software development environments
 * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field, * Experience with B&R Automation Studio and/or Beckhoff TwinCAT 3
 * Experience using AI-enabled engineering or software development tools
 * Experience with motion control and/or robotic automation

## Description

We are looking for a Software Controls Engineer to join a team onsite in Cincinnati, OH. This individual will develop and test control system software for new and existing industrial equipment, including HMI and PLC-based controls used to monitor and operate injection molding and plastic extrusion machinery. xrbllit

The Software Controls Engineer will support the full software development lifecycle, including designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, and releasing new features on existing control platforms.

Responsibilities

 * Develop and test control system software for industrial machinery
 * Design, build, and maintain features on existing control platforms
 * Develop PLC and machine control software using Structured Text, C, C++, and related programming languages
 * Develop and support web-based HMI applications using JavaScript, C#, HTML, and related technologies
 * Test software directly on machinery and troubleshoot interactions between software, controls, electrical, and mechanical systems
 * Collaborate with global engineering teams to design, review, test, and release software
 * Integrate controls and software with equipment and systems from third-party vendors and suppliers
 * Follow established software architecture, coding standards, source control, and development practices
