Skills and Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent 7 years of relevant experience in safety-critical industries (e.g., aerospace, defense/military, medical, nuclear, etc.) Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form productive relationships within a team Demonstrated proficiency with electromechanical and/or embedded software systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Experience with requirements management, system design, and system integration Excellent written and oral communication and collaboration skills Domestic and international travel may be required, typically less than 2 weeks per year.

Job Description: Saab, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team to develop complex electronic surveillance systems for commercial and government customers.
This role is critical to successfully developing products and executing projects to achieve Saab's vision - It's a human right to feel safe.
This position is located at our East Syracuse, NY, office.
Responsibilities include: Lead technical investigation and top-level design for new feature development and change requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
Lead development of primary and secondary radar products which provide safety-critical surveillance throughout the world Develop and maintain specifications and technical documentation to support customer deliverables and internal systems engineering processes.
Balance competing interests from multiple stakeholder groups Coordinate with product development management to ensure technical, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved while maintaining acceptable levels of risk.
