**Build your career where computer engineering meets real-world IT systems.** Longterm Technology Services (LTS) is seeking a Junior IT Computer Systems Engineer for our Troy, Michigan office., Learn more about us at: https://longtermtec.com/about-us/ **What You'll Do** As a Junior IT Computer Systems Engineer, you'll build broad hands-on experience supporting and improving the technology environments used by LTS and our customers.
You will: - Troubleshoot technical issues across computer hardware, operating systems, software, applications, networks, identity services and system integrations. - Investigate system failures and performance issues using structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. - Configure, deploy, maintain and support computers, devices, software, servers and infrastructure. - Support Microsoft technology environments including Microsoft 365, identity and access management, endpoint technologies and cloud services. - Configure and troubleshoot networking and secure connectivity involving TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN and remote-access technologies. - Perform system monitoring, maintenance, backups, updates, upgrades and migrations. - Use PowerShell, Python or other scripting and automation technologies to reduce repetitive work and improve system reliability. - Support enterprise applications and system integrations. - Develop clear technical documentation for systems, configurations,
troubleshooting procedures and support processes. - Collaborate with engineering, support, project, business and customer stakeholders to investigate problems and implement practical technical solutions. **What We're Looking For** We're looking for someone who naturally thinks about technology as a system, rather than as a collection of individual applications.
