## About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Java Lead with proven experience in enterprise application development within the Banking sector.

This role combines hands-on Java development with technical leadership, overseeing the design and delivery of scalable, secure and high-performing applications. The successful candidate will lead development teams, drive engineering best practices and work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.

Must have:

 * 10+ years of Java development experience within the Banking domain.
 * Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and Microservices.
 * Proven development experience with Angular.
 * Strong expertise in REST APIs, system integration and cloud-native applications.
 * Banking domain experience covering payments, lending or core banking systems.
 * Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns and software engineering best practices.
 * Proven experience leading development teams and mentoring developers.
 * Experience delivering scalable, secure and maintainable enterprise applications.
 * Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile delivery teams.
 * Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
