## About the Role

* 3+ years of hands-on Databricks experience in production

 * Strong SQL, PySpark and Python, with a track record of clean, tested, maintainable code

 * Experience building and running production pipelines, both batch and streaming (e.g. Lakeflow/Delta Live Tables, Structured Streaming, Azure Data Factory)

 * Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code (e.g. Azure DevOps, Terraform, Databricks Asset Bundles)

 * Solid knowledge of data modelling, governance, security and cost optimisation on a cloud data platform

 * Experience contributing to architectural decisions or migrations, and explaining trade-offs to technical and non-technical colleagues

 * Excellent communication skills in English

Bonus points: experience applying AI and LLMs to data engineering, keeping up with new Databricks features, mentoring other engineers, and Power BI or another reporting tool.
