## About the Role

Financial Systems, Financial Services, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Global Financial Markets, Finance, Cross-Functional, Operations Security (OPSEC), Best Practices, Quality Assurance Methodology, Mentoring, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

 * 10-14 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
 * Experience in designing and developing large-scale, mission-critical, high-performance, high-availability systems.
 * Expert-level knowledge in design and development of client-facing RESTful APIs.
 * Strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot/REST development, including microservices and event-driven architecture implementation.
 * Basic knowledge of front-end technologies: Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
 * Software engineering experience with demonstrable, recent use of AI-native development tools as a core part of workflow.
 * Strong knowledge of RDBMS and messaging technologies (IBM MQ, Kafka).
 * Solid grasp of Git, CI/CD, containerization, and automated API testing.
 * Knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC, mTLS, signed request verification using public/private key cryptography.
 * Experience in using code quality and static analysis tools like SonarQube or Veracode.
 * Experience in Agile methodologies, either Scrum or Kanban.
 * Prior experience as a lead engineer working in finance, particularly in payments.
 * Strong technical and communication skills.
