Key duties include assisting with the planning, development, and execution of Fleet Training events for Fleet and Strike Group staffs, including reserve personnel. Frequent collaboration with Military, Government, and Contractor leadership is a central part of this position. What You Will Do * Software Lifecycle Management: Installs, configures, and patches new C-FAST/IW tool suite baseline software releases, upgrades, and system updates to keep training environments current and secure. * System Administration & Monitoring: Monitors servers and applications using systems management software, troubleshoots system issues, coordinates with external teams, and develops resource allocation policies and standards to ensure stable system performance. * Event Planning & Federation Architecture Development: Until O&M turnover is completed, collaborate with C-FAST/IW toolset engineers to accomplish event planning and federation architecture development tasking. Immediately following O&M turnover of C-FAST/IW toolsets, leads C-FAST/IW-specific planning and technical design of federation architectures, ensuring tools are configured to integrate into Navy Training Baseline (NTB) federations. * Real-Time System & Federation Management: Directs real-time system and federation management during LVC events, actively conducting in-stride troubleshooting and rapid correction of system problems to maintain continuity of operations. * Active LVC Coordination for Training Objectives: Coordinates across the LVC operations team during LVC events to guarantee technical alignment and ensure all systems are configured to create the opportunity for successful training execution. * Simulation Artifact Management: Manages local simulation artifacts, including parametric databases and enumeration tables, to ensure alignment with NTB tools and the Joint LVC (JLVC) environment. * Technical Enablement & Tool Support: Provides technical assistance and system familiarization to Exercise Control (EXCON) users, facilitating the technical employment of C-FAST/IW simulations and tools without engaging in instructional delivery. * Performance Feedback & Engineering Alignment: Analyzes system performance during events and provides technical feedback to software engineers to guide future development and optimization efforts. * Continuous Education: Maintains technical awareness of emerging C-FAST/IW capabilities, planned development roadmaps, and their integration within NTB federations to support long-term system capability. Install and configure new baseline software releases, upgrades, and patches.
