## About the Role

* Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling).
 * Linux operating system experience.
 * Ability to regularly transport and position equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
 * Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods to perform diagnostic and repair tasks.
 * Ability to maneuver in cramped or elevated spaces, such as under-floor areas or on ladders, to access server racks.
 * Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as handling small hardware components and cables.
 * Availability to work a flexible schedule within a 24/7 environment, including a rotating on-call shift.
 * Ability to perform essential job duties in a climate-controlled data center with fluctuating temperatures and variable airflow, specifically within designated hot and cold aisles ranging from 60 ree;F to 90 ree;F.
 * Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
 * Ability to prioritize tasks and react quickly to issues.

Preferred Skills:

 * Hands-on or education-based experience in any of the following:

 * Computer hardware, including troubleshooting and repair
 * Data centers
 * Computer networking
 * Python, Bash, or other scripting languages
 * Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS

Associate's degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.

Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly when troubleshooting complex physical infrastructure challenges.

Curiosity about data center networking, server architectures, and automation scripts.

## Description

* Maintain data center operations to ensure service availability and reliability.
 * Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs.
 * Perform root cause analysis of hardware and software failures.
 * Respond to on-site equipment failures or emergencies within 60 minutes while on scheduled on-call.
 * Develop scripts to update server and networking hardware.
 * Assemble and install equipment.
 * Maintain inventory.
 * Perform maintenance of test and tool equipment.
 * Provide technical support to data center teams.
 * Train internal teams.
 * Develop documentation., Drive to maintain high standards of reliability and solve operational constraints.
