Experience with deployment and administration of routing, switching, wireless, firewall technologies, load balancing, and protocols * Certified to work on Extreme Networks products, such as switches, routers, access points, and network management tools. * Shall possess a combination of experience and skills with the following manufacturers and applications: * VMware NSX: Install, Configure, Manage (V6.2) * Ruckus Layer 2 Switches / Wireless Controller / Wireless Access Points * Palo Alto Networks Firewall knowledge of PA-7050 / PA-3060 / PA-3260 / PA-5450 / WildFire/URL Filtering * Brocade MPLS Implementation Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches * Cisco Networks switches and routers * Aruba Networks Excellent knowledge of Wireless Controllers / Access Points / Airwave / ClearPass * Ciena 100G OME 6500 DWDM System * Extreme Networks Layer 2/3, MLXE Switches /Extreme IQ / OSPF, BGP, and MPLS * SolarWinds, InMon Sentinel, Uptrends., * IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification is Required to Start * Extreme Certified * A NACLC Public Trust Clearance is required to Start., This role requires customer approval, suitability to hold a public trust and successful completion of a preemployment background screening. ## Description The person in this position will be the onsite Extreme Networks engineer managing the Extreme Networks, who possess a combination of experience, skills, and qualifications., * Manage network related projects, including planning, implementation, and documentation, including network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure expansions. * Troubleshooting complex network issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions. * Attend and conduct meetings with other departments for integrated solutions. * Speak to and translate complex technical terminology to higher level authorities. * Train networking team on Extreme Network changes, processes and best practices * Interface, work with, and assist customers and peers with customer services best practices. * Perform after hours maintenance windows. * Ability to lift and implement devices at 30 lbs.
