 * Experience with AT-TLS, IPsec, IP security, QoS, Policy Agent, and ICSF
 * Working knowledge of Sysplex, subplexing, HiperSockets, OSA-ICC, JES2, SDSF, SMP/E, and Unix System Services (USS)
 * Experience with IBM Connect:Direct (NDM) and CA TPX
 * System programming skills with JCL and REXX

## Description

A large healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Mainframe Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the network and communications stack that keeps its z/OS environment secure, reliable, and highly available. You will own VTAM, TCP/IP, routing, and secure file transfer configuration on IBM z16 hardware, serve as a technical resource for other engineers, and drive automation and process improvements. This role includes on-call support as needed., * Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IBM z/OS Communications Server, SNA/VTAM, and TCP/IP on z/OS 3.2 running on IBM z16

 * Update and maintain VTAM, OMPROUTE (OSPF) routing, Enterprise Extender connections, and OSA adapter configurations
 * Administer secure communications including AT-TLS, IPsec, Policy Agent, SSH, FTPS, TN3270, and CSSMTP
 * Support Connect:Direct (NDM), CA TPX, and network monitoring tools to ensure stable mainframe connectivity
 * Resolve alerts, escalated tickets, and complex errors, and determine impacts of migrations and upgrades
 * Write JCL and REXX to automate tasks and improve operational efficiency
 * Participate in disaster recovery planning and exercises and provide input into infrastructure architecture
