## About the Role

Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Internet Security, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Top Secret Clearance, Internet Security, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Document Management, * 5+ years in cybersecurity, with 3+ years securing AWS.

 * Hands-on security logging, vulnerability remediation, and control implementation.
 * Formal A&A experience in classified or regulated environments.
 * Comfort working in highly controlled settings.

Nice to Have

 * NIST 800-53, STIG hardening, and POA&M remediation.
 * Security automation, SIEM tools, OpenSearch, or Nexus Repository.
 * AWS Professional or Specialty certification. Security+ or CISSP.

Additional Requirements

 * Current, active TS/SCI. You must also qualify for SCI indoctrination and any program-level access approvals the customer requires.
 * U.S. citizenship is required under the terms of the government contract.
 * You must live within a reasonable daily commute of the secure site in Herndon, VA or Washington, DC.
 * Full-time and fully on-site in an accredited secure facility, with occasional visits to approved customer sites. Remote work is not an option.

## Description

A federal program needs a cybersecurity engineer to protect the cloud infrastructure behind high-impact technology. The role spans cloud security operations and compliance engineering, turning complex requirements into working protections inside highly restricted environments.
What You Will Do

 * Work with application and infrastructure teams to close findings and strengthen incident readiness.
 * Run vulnerability scanning, access control, and secure artifact repositories.
 * Put security controls in place, document remediation, and support assessment and authorization (A&A) work.
 * Build and tune centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, and dashboards with AWS-native and compatible tooling.
