## About the Role

* Strong experience in Java development, including Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
 * Experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI, JSON, and microservices architecture.
 * Experience with PostgreSQL, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, and Flyway.
 * Experience with Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK, and event-driven architectures.
 * Experience with AWS services, including API Gateway, ECS, CloudWatch, CodePipeline, and Secrets Manager.
 * Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, Maven, and GitLab CI/CD.
 * Knowledge of JUnit 5, automated testing, software architecture, and common design patterns.
 * Collaborative, proactive approach, with problem-solving ability, good communication skills, and an interest in continuous improvement and emerging technologies.
 * Desirable: experience developing high-volume transactional systems or complex enterprise applications, integrating third-party services and external APIs, or using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, TypeScript, CloudWatch monitoring, performance analysis, or certificate-based authentication.

 * Develop new features, enhance existing applications, and optimise performance.
