You will sit at the intersection of our customers' financial and clinical data and the agentic AI systems we are building on top of it. You will build and maintain the data integration interfaces, pipelines, and semantic layers that make healthcare data legible to our products, and you will partner closely with platform engineers to keep our core data systems fast, correct, and well-tested. This is a high-ownership role. You will work directly with customers to understand their source-of-truth financial and clinical models, then translate that understanding into durable, well-modeled data systems. What you'll do * Build and maintain abstracted data integration interfaces for healthcare data. * Capture and understand the source-of-truth financial and clinical record models used by our customers. Potentially go on-site with customers to capture business logic. * Optimize data ingestion and transformation pipelines for correctness, performance, and cost. * Build semantic understanding into our core data systems so they can power agentic AI workflows. * Partner with platform engineers to build and maintain the core data systems our products depend on. * Validate data pipeline correctness and build rigor into our integration test suites at every opportunity. ## Related Videos - [From Messy Queries to Scalable Systems - How Data Engineering actually works](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100203-from-messy-queries-to-scalable-systems-how-data-engineering-actually-works) - [Advanced Typing in TypeScript](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/496-advanced-typing-in-typescript) - [Go with the Flow: Stop the Leaks Before Your Memory's a Waterfall!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100073-go-with-the-flow-stop-the-leaks-before-your-memory-s-a-waterfall) - [Enjoying SQL data pipelines with dbt](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/823-enjoying-sql-data-pipelines-with-dbt) - [AI Model Management Life Circles: ML Ops For Generative AI Models From Research to Deployment](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1152-ai-model-management-life-circles-ml-ops-for-generative-ai-models-from-research-to-deployment) - [Data Science on Software Data](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/162-data-science-on-software-data) ## Related Articles - [Making Data Warehouses Fast: A Developer’s Story](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/107-making-data-warehouses-fast-a-developer-s-story) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers) - [Data Engineer Salary UK](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/253-data-engineer-salary-uk) - [Coffee with Developers - Maria Apazoglou - Making AI understandable for all in production](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/475-coffee-with-developers-maria-apazoglou-making-ai-understandable-for-all-in-production) - [Graph and AI Trends 2026: Why Is AI Running but Not Yet Delivering?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/680-graph-and-ai-trends-2026-why-is-ai-running-but-not-yet-delivering) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers)
