## About the Role

* Strong SQL development skills, including SQL Server T-SQL.
 * Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions.
 * Knowledge of Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures.
 * Experience with Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks.
 * Understanding of data modelling techniques, including star schemas and dimensional modelling.
 * Experience with Power BI semantic models and reporting.
 * Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimisation.
 * Experience using Git and CI/CD deployment practices.
 * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
 * Elite 3E IDE 2.7 or later development experience is required.
 * An analytical, inquisitive approach, attention to detail, and high work standards.
 * A calm, positive attitude, strong communication and knowledge-sharing skills, and a proactive, self-motivated approach to managing multiple tasks.
 * Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services is desirable.
 * Experience working with multi-currency financial information is desirable.
 * Knowledge of PySpark or Spark SQL, Microsoft Entra ID, security frameworks, DevOps, and automated deployment pipelines is desirable.
 * Knowledge of financial, legal, or professional services data environments is desirable.

## Description

* Design, develop, and support end-to-end cloud-based data solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
 * Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems.
 * Develop and optimise Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake solutions.
 * Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers) to support data quality and governance.
 * Create and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Data Factory, Data Pipelines, Notebooks, and Spark.
 * Develop, maintain, and enhance SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, and data models.
 * Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues within Fabric environments.
 * Implement security, access controls, and governance standards.
 * Support CI/CD deployment processes and source control best practices.
 * Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
 * Produce technical documentation and knowledge-transfer materials.
