## About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys getting hands-on with cloud technologies, driving improvements and having the autonomy to take projects from initial design through to implementation., You'll ideally have strong hands-on experience across cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, alongside a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement., * Experience designing, building and operating cloud infrastructure supporting production services.

 * Strong practical knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, VPC, ECS, EKS, RDS and IAM.
 * Good understanding of cloud security, networking, scalability and infrastructure architecture.
 * Experience with container orchestration technologies, particularly ECS or Kubernetes/EKS.
 * Infrastructure-as-Code experience using Terraform or similar tools.
 * Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines.
 * Knowledge of observability, including monitoring, metrics, logging and alerting.
 * Scripting experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell.

Desirable experience:

 * Microsoft 365 technologies, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender and Conditional Access.
 * Exposure to Oracle Database, Oracle Middleware or PostgreSQL administration.
 * Linux and Windows administration.
 * Configuration management tools such as Ansible.

## Description

You'll take responsibility for the cloud infrastructure supporting the organisation's SaaS products and internal tooling, ensuring platforms remain secure, scalable and reliable., * Taking ownership of cloud infrastructure, primarily within AWS.

 * Designing, implementing and testing infrastructure solutions from initial concept through to delivery.
 * Reviewing existing environments and identifying opportunities for improvement.
 * Building proof-of-concept solutions to assess new technologies.
 * Developing and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.
 * Improving infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging and alerting.
 * Producing technical documentation and sharing knowledge across the team.
 * Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
 * Supporting wider technology areas, including Oracle Database and Middleware Administration and End User Computing, with opportunities to develop knowledge in these areas.
