## About the Role

* B.S. in Computer Science or related course of study, or equivalent year's experience
 * 8+ years of Java development experience
 * 8+ years experience with modern development practices
 * Experience with REST APIs
 * Experience with Agile methodology
 * TS/SCI with Polygraph level of security clearance

Bonus Skills:

 * Familiarity developing and supporting encryption libraries and key management capabilities to ensure secure data protection and system integrity.

## Description

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support a mission-critical program by designing and delivering secure, scalable software solutions. In this role, you will lead the development of a comprehensive AWS-based full-stack application designed to modernize and enhance the storage and management of encryption keys. You will leverage Java and Python for backend development, ReactJS for frontend development, and Kubernetes and Docker to build and deploy containerized applications.

As a technical leader, you will provide guidance to engineering teams, collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges, and help advance secure data protection capabilities through the design and implementation of encryption key management solutions. This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule with up to three days of telework per week, based on program and customer requirements. Because this position supports a mission critical application there may be a need for 24/7 support shared by the team, if this occurs you would receive pay differential.
