## About the Role

Consulting, Consulting, Data Mining, Data Analysis, Requirements Management, Test Plan/Schedule, Best Practices, Tableau, Python Programming/Scripting Language, Technical Leadership, Requires a BS/BA degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

 * Strong hands-on Python development experience for data analysis, data manipulation, automation, scripting, and integration with data platforms strongly preferred.
 * Strong experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, SQL development, query optimization, and working with large datasets strongly preferred.
 * Advanced hands-on experience with Tableau, including dashboard development, data visualization, performance optimization, and complex calculations strongly preferred.
 * Expert-level SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, data transformations, and performance tuning strongly preferred.
 * Proven experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end analytics solutions strongly preferred.
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business problems into practical technical solutions strongly preferred.
 * Demonstrated experience identifying and implementing reporting and workflow automation opportunities strongly preferred.
 * Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive initiatives from concept to completion strongly preferred.
 * Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills strongly preferred.
 * PC, spreadsheet, and database skills strongly preferred.
 * Experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages strongly preferred.

## Description

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Ideal candidates will be able to report to our Pulse Point location in Hannover, Maryland. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office

The Business Information Developer Consultant is responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses.

How you will make an impact:

 * Independently manage analytics initiatives from requirements gathering through development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
 * Provide technical guidance and recommend best practices for, Snowflake, SQL, Python, Tableau and data architecture.
 * Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.
 * Performs modeling of information sources and flows.
 * May coordinate the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects.
 * Develops strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse.
 * Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
 * Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
 * The majority of time will be spent programming.
 * Conducts training on use of applications developed.
