Posted yesterday, Our client is looking to hire a full time employee to join a new start up company they created that works in contracting out manufacturing space to non-automotive customers. They typically will work to manufacture for the government, retail manufacturing customers, or other industries that require custom, just in time manufacturing processes, but lack capacity to manufacture themselves.

In this capacity they are looking to hire a strong infrastructure engineer that has a jack of all trades skillset, but can come in with experience across the Cisco networking stack including wireless and switches. They also will need this person to be experienced with managing virtual & on-prem server environments and be able to handle administration across Microsoft o365 services like Exchange, Entra AD, SharePoint Online, and Teams. This role will vary on the day to day aspect of what the job looks like as this will be the first formal engineer hired to the start up, however they are backstopped by the much larger IT team across the parent company.

The person identified for the job needs to be comfortable being the first line of support for anything ranging from a password reset, to troubleshooting users machines, installing a new switch, or administrating m365 services too. They envision this role growing into a IT management type position as the company continues to grow so the ideal candidate has experience as a lead or would like to get into leadership too. Currently they have a user base of 40 people across the environment, but as that grows so will the IT team. The manufacturing operation only runs first shift and the required hours are just 7-4 or 8-5pm
