## Description

A high-growth, remote-first SaaS company building an AI-powered platform that helps small businesses manage and grow their operations is hiring a Senior or Staff Backend Engineer to take significant ownership of identity and access management across a rapidly scaling product. This is a hands-on IC role for someone who enjoys solving complex authentication, authorization, and permissions problems while influencing broader technical direction.

What you'll do

 * Design and build authentication, authorization, and identity infrastructure
 * Develop SSO, access-management, and permissions services at scale
 * Own complex backend projects from architecture through production
 * Improve the reliability, security, and scalability of business-critical systems
 * Partner with product and engineering teams to translate customer needs into durable technical solutions
 * Provide technical leadership through design reviews, mentorship, and thoughtful decision-making
