## About the Role

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer II to support security across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid environments. This role will focus on cloud security, monitoring, vulnerability management, identity/access controls, and incident response., * 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity/security engineering experience

 * Strong Microsoft Azure security experience
 * Experience with Defender for Cloud and Sentinel or comparable SIEM
 * Knowledge of RBAC, Conditional Access, vulnerability management, EDR, and incident response
 * Understanding of Windows/Linux, networking, and Microsoft 365 security
 * Healthcare/regulated industry experience and security certifications are a plus

Important: This is a hands-on engineering role, not primarily GRC. Candidates should be able to discuss security controls they've personally configured, alerts/incidents investigated, and vulnerabilities remediated.

## Description

* Implement and maintain Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure security controls, and cloud security baselines
 * Support Azure RBAC, Conditional Access, privileged access, and identity/security controls
 * Monitor security alerts and logs using Microsoft Sentinel or comparable SIEM platforms
 * Investigate security alerts and participate in incident response, threat detection, and remediation
 * Support vulnerability management, scanning, remediation tracking, and security patch coordination
 * Manage and monitor security technologies including EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools
 * Strengthen security across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows/Linux, and hybrid environments
 * Assist with security reviews for applications, systems, cloud workloads, and third-party solutions
 * Support security auditing, compliance reporting, and documentation
 * Partner with technical teams to communicate security risks and recommend appropriate remediation
