## About the Role

* ~5-10 years of engineering experience, ideally with a foundation in data engineering, data platforms, or data-intensive applications.
 * Hands-on experience with Python, AWS, data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise data integration.
 * Experience building LLM-powered applications, AI agents, or agentic workflows.
 * Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, structured/unstructured data, and enterprise retrieval.
 * Experience with Claude preferred; other LLM experience is relevant.
 * Strong understanding of tool/function calling, multi-step agent workflows, and orchestration.
 * Ability to understand business workflows and translate ambiguous problems into production solutions.
 * Experience taking solutions from discovery prototype production.

Preferred

 * Experience building agents that reason over enterprise data and interact with business systems to complete tasks.
 * Background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data platform development.
 * Experience supporting Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, Merchandising, Retail, or E-commerce workflows.
 * Experience building new AI capabilities in greenfield environments.

## Description

We are seeking a hands-on AI Engineer with a strong data engineering background to build agentic AI solutions in a greenfield AWS environment. This role will partner with operational teams such as Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, CRM, Merchandising, and other business functions to understand workflows, identify high-value AI opportunities, and build production-ready AI agents.

This is a hands-on IC role combining data engineering, agentic AI, business workflow discovery, and end-to-end development., * Partner with business teams to understand workflows, data, pain points, and opportunities for agentic AI.

 * Design and build AI agents and multi-step workflows using Claude.
 * Enable agents to retrieve and reason over enterprise data, use tools/APIs, and take actions across business systems.
 * Build data integrations and pipelines required to support AI use cases.
 * Develop and deploy solutions within AWS, integrating with enterprise applications, APIs, and data sources.
 * Rapidly prototype use cases and move successful solutions into production.
 * Implement evaluation, monitoring, guardrails, and continuous improvement for production AI agents.
