## About the Role

 * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
 * 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering shipping customer facing applications on iOS.
 * Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
 * Solid understanding of mobile platform architecture, UI/UX design principles and frameworks, GraphQL, mobile security and performance optimization techniques.
 * Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps, and mobile release processes.
 * Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
 * Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
 * Experience operating in start-up settings, launching 0 to 1 product, and driving graduation to highly customized applications.
 * Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
 * Passion for mobile technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

 * Experience building systems in the automotive industry, or experience working on IoT devices
 * Experience with mobile app testing, experimentation frameworks and automation frameworks.
 * Experience working with large scale cloud systems through a provider like AWS

## Description

 * Design, develop, maintain, and release robust, scalable, and user-centric iOS applications.
 * Own the implementation of complex mobile features from concept through production, ensuring high standards for performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.
 * Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional partners to deliver seamless end-to-end customer experiences.
 * Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architecture discussions, and adherence to engineering best practices.
 * Develop and maintain automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and regression testing, to ensure application quality and stability.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, proactively identifying opportunities to improve application performance and developer productivity.
 * Mentor and support junior engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and collaborative problem-solving.
 * Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends in iOS development, evaluating new tools, patterns, and approaches where they provide meaningful value., * This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in San Ramon, California.
 * This role requires 3 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events. Subject to change.
 * Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
