KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: * Knowledge of principles and practices of inventory control methods. * Knowledge of utility related materials. * Knowledge of computer applications related to the work. * Knowledge of recordkeeping, report preparation, filling methods and records management techniques. * Knowledge of County policies, procedures, and regulations. * Knowledge of the principles of the principles and practices of water and sewer line construction and maintenance. * Skill in using warehouse equipment. * Ability to compute standard business mathematical computations with speed and accuracy. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, vendors and others in order to give and extricate information in a courteous and friendly manner. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing. * Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and so forth., Must be able to perform medium work frequently exerting up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; and occasionally requiring to exert up to 50 pounds of force to move objects. This work also involves the physical abilities of balancing, climbing, crouching, feeling, grasping, perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels, kneeling, lifting, having manual dexterity, using mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, performing repetitive motion, standing, stooping, expressing ideas by the spoken word, and walking. An incumbent must also possess the visual acuity to read maps and diagrams, to operate a vehicle and equipment, to operate a computer, to read and prepare reports, and to analyze data and figures. ## Description An employee in this position oversees the daily operations of the warehouse facility and assists in inventory management for Harnett Regional Water.
